Danny Carnahan (vocals, octave mandolin, fiddle)

Danny, as half of the ground-breaking Celtic duo Caswell Carnahan, helped pave the way for the California Celtic explosion of the early ‘80s. He then toured with Robin Petrie for over ten years, building a following from Europe to New Zealand, recording 7 albums, and earning two NAIRD “Indie” awards and a Grammy nomination. His CD “Cut and Run” (1993/Red House Records) includes “Laughing in the Dark,” a collaboration with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. Danny has also recorded and performed with artists including Henry Kaiser, Shira Kammen, Robin Flower & Libby McLaren, David Gans, and bandmate Sylvia Herold’s other band Euphonia. Danny’s most recent solo CD of all-original material, “Sky In Your Pocket”, was released the summer of 2011.
